Lose Weight Get Healthy & Be Happy launches online at RiceDietBook.com

Orlando, Fla. – October 28, 2011 – Central Florida Residents, Douglas Jay Sprung, MD, FACG, FACP and his wife Denise Sprung, MSW unveiled their new diet book, Lose Weight Get Healthy & Be Happy, this month at www.RiceDietBook.com. The 228-page, full color book was inspired by the recent success of their local diet program, Rice Diet of Central Florida.

The Rice Diet of Central Florida, which operates out of Altamonte Springs, Florida, has transformed the lives of countless people suffering from obesity and related conditions, such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, GERD, IBS, and arthritis. Now, Dr. Sprung and Denise Sprung bring you this medically sound, proven diet in an easy-to-do format that can transform your life.

“We wrote this book because we wanted to make the benefits of The Rice Diet available to anyone anywhere and provide supportive tools in order to lose the weight get healthy and be happy— for life,” said Dr. Sprung.

The National Institute of Health declared that obesity has risen to epidemic levels in the U.S., with nearly 67 percent of all adults either overweight or obese. Lose Weight Get Healthy & Be Happy is the answer to losing weight and being able to sustain the weight loss long term.

The book features several pages of nutritional guides including an entire chapter on preventing emotional eating, a full chapter on recipes of low-fat and low-calorie foods, drink and snack options, aids for eating in restaurants, and an eight-week plan that has detailed instructions for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Conveniently, it is split into two parts: The Rice Diet Lifestyle which discusses the practices and habits for achievement; and The Tools for Success which includes the weekly menus, recipes and a sample Rice Diet Journal. Lose Weight Get Healthy & Be Happy also features testimonials from Ricers (a term used to define those on the diet), some of which have lost more than 100 pounds while on the Rice Diet.

ABOUT THE RICE DIET OF CENTRAL FLORIDA
The Rice Diet of Central Florida is a variation of the original Rice Diet of Dr. Walter Kempner, which began at Duke University in 1939. The diet is a medically supervised program that employs extreme restrictions in sodium and fat, and achieves extreme success in not only weight reduction, but in the reversal of the clinical conditions and diseases associated with obesity. The Rice House, where the Rice Diet of Central Florida is conducted, has a dedicated staff that provides the education, supervision and motivation to help patients improve their health and transform their lives.
